Happy Turkey Day! 



Found instructions for this cute turkey on another blog.  I realized afterwards that I had put the turkey wings on the wrong oval, but it is still cute!  I used a scallop circle card stock to make the turkey stand up.  The Designer Series Paper is from the Regals Patterns pack.

Our theme for the 2011 May Blog Hop is Color My World. Our projects were to have some sort of coloring on them, such as using Stampin' Up! watercolor crayons, a brayer, markers, or other products to color with. I chose to water color with Stampin' Up!'s classic dye reinkers.

Now on to my projects. I made a matching card and box set.  I want to buy some small gift to fit in the box for my mom for her birthday. I wish the shine of the embossing would show up in the photos.  It is so pretty.  I used the new Doily Triple Layer punch to make label that Happy Birthday is stamped on.

I will have a video up after the blog hop is finished showing how I used my Stampin' Up! Tarheel Stamper - Two Tags Candy Pouch

This is such an easy project.  This is the 3D project I had for my class.  They are made with the Two Tags Bigz Die with the Big Shot from Sizzix. What I like about this tag is it has a slit for closing and a score line already made for you when you run the die through the Big Shot. They can be as elaborate or simple as you like.  I just a Texturz plate to add the large dots.  I put an extra score on mine so it will be a little wider to put a mini candy bar in.  See photos below for detail. Just glue dot it to the tags.  I am trying to lose weight and can't have milk anyway, so I didn't want to buy any for props.  You will just have to imagine them being in there.  LOL :-)

Tarheel Stamper - Snowflake Trio

I saw a magazine with snowflakes made of wooden craft sticks and wood shapes and loved them so I made some.  One hint they had was to draw intersecting lines on a scrap paper and then use that to build your snowflake.  It makes it easier to glue them together correctly.  I used lots of glitter, but it was hard to photograph.  I stamped the trio of snowflakes in Serene Snowflakes on a glue pad and then sprinkled glitter on top of that.  They are so pretty hanging in the window.  These are hard to photograph.  The diameter of the largest is 15 inches.  I spray painted them white.  There is a plastic ring hot glued to the back to hang them from on some pretty ribbon.  Hope you have a wonderful day!  Let it snow...let it snow....let it snow...somewhere else today.  LOL We are visiting Brattonsville Plantation to see their Christmas event.  I love Christmas and attending local Christmas events.  Check out your local calendars and see what is available near you!  Have fun with your family and of course stamp something!  LOL
