Tarheel Stamper - Tuesday Tips

My tip for today is to have a card where you can choose the sentiment you need.  I made three sentiments and didn't attach them so I can choose one and use it.  I am always needing a card at the last minute, mostly because my mind is growing up old.  LOL I used Stampin' Up!'s Mostly Vintage Decor Stencil to make this card.  I chose to use the negative part of the cutout.  On yesterday's post I used the positive cutout. I used a retired stipple brush to add Perfect Plum ink to the card base.  I used a sponge to get some moon beams radiating out from the center image.  I attached some pearls from Stampin' Up!'s Basic Pearl assortment.  I love that the adhesive is already on the pearls.  Easy to use and to spruce up a card!



I took the photo of card flat so I didn't have to attach the sentiment with Dimensionals.

Tarheel Stamper Decor Stencil Card

I am painting my kitchen and dining room this week so I will not have much time to stamp and my stamping items are in SC and I am in NC this week.  Also I have a painting buddy to show you.  This is our lab named Lacey.  She is helping me keep the floor warm.  LOL 

I am so excited!  I am going to the Stampin' Up! half-day regionals in Columbia, SC this Friday!  Yahoo! If you are headed there, look out for me.  I will be having some cards to swap.  Hope to see you there! 

Now for my card share I used a Decor Stencil named Mostly Vintage. I used the positive piece.  I will share a card tomorrow with the negative cutout.  I used a stipple brush Stampin' Up! used to see to apply the Crumb Cake Classic Ink.  Very simple card, but I think it turned out well. Sometimes less is more.  I added a pearl from our Basic Pearl assortment, a sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set on a Modern Label punch of Soft Suede card stock with Early Espresso ink.  I was in a rush making this card, but you could add some dimension, by sponging around the edges with Soft Suede.

Tarheel Stamper - Lovely as a Tree Masculine Birthday

Made this one for my brother's upcoming birthday.  Since it is in the fall, I thought Early Espresso, Soft Suede, More Mustard, and Cajun Craze were great for this card.  I inked the trees with Versamark and then with Early Espresso to heat emboss with clear embossing powder.  You can see the shine from the embossing on the close up.  The tag is a the Jewelry Tag punch and tied on with Linen Thread.  Love the color combination!  Makes me think of fall.  Don't forget that you can click on the photo to bring it up in a larger view.
