Tarheel Stamper - Love in Red

This was a fun card to make. This is another card for my class on Saturday.  I have a tip on getting the circle cut out of the "O".  I punched a 3/4" circle from Pretty in Pink (just didn't want to use the Very Vanilla because it would not show up well).  I used a little mono adhesive and glued it over where I wanted to punch.  Then I centered the circle punch over the Pretty in Pink and punched.  It works wonderfully!  Another hint I have is I keep the square or rectangle rubber piece the stamps are die cut from when I am mounting them.  I used the reverse part to draw an outline lightly with pencil and then cut just inside that to cut out the "LOVE"  I am loving that red glitter paper!  Thanks Stampin' Up! for making it so easy to coordinate!  Hope you enjoy the card!

Happy Stampin',

Tarheel Stamper - Lots of Love Letterpress

Notice the pearlized look on the hearts!

I was intrigued by the introduction of the letterpress plates Stampin' Up! offered in the Holiday Mini catalog.  I purchased the Lots of Love letterpress plate and am using it for my Amore stamp class on January 29th.  Stampin' Up! has produced a video about the letterpress plates.

I won't give too many details since I am using this for a class, but you can see what I used.  The satin ribbon roses are available in the Occasions Mini catalog.

Happy Stampin' and I hope you are staying warm.  Very cold here!  Actually I am in Virginia today!  They didn't get as much snow as we did in SC  Below is a photo of the snow in SC.

Stampin' Up! Blooming Hearts

Took a break from Christmas cards to make a card for a challenge on Late Night Stampers Yahoo email list. The theme is "Hugs and Kisses" or love. Baroque Motifs is such a pretty stamp set to work with. I punched the hearts out of Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper using the Heart to Heart punch. The swirly vines stamp was inked with Versamark on the designer paper and heat embossed with Detail White embossing powder. I love how you can change the look of Designer Paper by stamping over it or heat embossing. I used jumbo neutral brads and White Organza ribbon. I love how this turned out. The Bermuda Bay card stock made the embossing of the word "cherish" pop don't you think? Have a great day creating something!
