Tarheel Stamper - Goodbye Sweet Gina

I couldn't post this until today.  Every time I worked with some photos of Gina, our 14 1/2 year old Golden Retriever mix, I just couldn't finish.  She was such a sweet dog.  We will miss her dearly.  I understand that she is not a human, but she was a member of our family for many years.  Our sons grew up with her.  They miss her too.  She loved everyone she met and would tell them so.  She loved McDonald's french fries and would beg for those!  LOL  She "talked" a lot and loved doggie bones.  She was not a watch dog which is why we she adopted us.  I made this 12 x 12 scrapbook page on My Digital Studio in honor of her life and joy she gave to us.  What a special doggie.  She flew across the Pacific in the belly of a jet and then rode across the US from Los Angeles, CA to Gastonia, NC.  She was a great dog and never any trouble.  We love and miss her!  You can click on the photo to see a larger copy.  Hope you don't mind me posting this personal event, but she was special to me.  I hope to be back to posting stamping projects soon.

I am so sorry to hear about your sweet doggie. Dogs are truly the most loving creatures on earth. Sounds like you had 13 wonderful years together and now she's no longer in pain. I love your photo's and captions, a loving tribute to an old friend.

Oh honey! I am so sorry to hear of your loss! What a sweet, sweet doggie she was!!! You were both very lucky to have had each other. Pets make such a huge impact on their family's lives and I'm sure your family did the same for her! :) HUGS!!!!!!

I must admit your post made me teary eyed because I have a golden retriever who is 8 years old and she is such a delight! She has become a part of our family and I dread the day something happens to her. I am sorry for your loss, but am glad you have such sweet memories. Sue

I'm so sorry for the loss of your beloved pet. I, too, will soon be losing my kitty. She has cancer and doesn't have much time left. She'll be 14 soon, grew up with my children. I understand how our "babies" become members of the family. Many memories are wrapped in our love for them.
