Holiday Mini Card - Delightful Decorations

I am loving the products in the Holiday Mini Catalog. Starting tomorrow, September 1st you can order from the new mini through January 4, 2010. I will post a link in the side bar to the mini tomorrow. I had the chance to preorder some of the products and am sharing a card I made with a set in the Holiday Mini catalog named Delightful Decorations. The ornament was punched with a new punch named Ornament. How simple and easy to do!

I heat embossed two ornaments using Taken with Teal craft ink and clear embossing powder. I used the new Ornament punch to punch one out. I punched the 1/4 inch circle out of the other. Another ornament was embossed with white embossing powder and punched with a 1 inch circle punch. I layered the ornament together using Stampin' Dimensionals. Using the Stamp-a-ma-jig, I heat embossed the Merry Christmas stamp from Teeny Tiny stamp set using White embossing powder.

So Saffron, Whisper White card stock and Holiday Lounge Designer Series Paper were used. The ribbon is 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon. On the inside I used the leftover portion from the white embossed ornament and added a 1 inch circle of a
stamp in the set to fill in the center of the ornament. I glued a strip of the Designer Series Paper to the bottom inside. I like decorating the inside. I will add a sentiment later. What do you think? Hope you have a wonderful, creative day.

Stampin Up! Lattice Die and Simple Flower Embosslit

I love Old Olive and adding Chocolate Chip as the neutral color worked perfectly with this card. The Lattice die is cut out of Bermuda Bay card stock, one of the new In Colors. I think Bermuda Bay is my favorite of the new In Colors. I heat embossed the sentiments from Warm Words with Detail White embossing powder. The button is from the Playground Designer Buttons. I tied a little crochet thread through the button. The Chocolate Chip flower brad is from Designer Brads Flower Assortment. Isn't it cute? The sketch for the card came from Stampin' 411 blog. I missed the deadline for uploading this one. :-( Have a wonderful day! Happy Stampin'!

Stampin' Up! Lattice Die

Hello all,
Loving the Sizzix Bigz Lattice Die! I haven't been able to stamp and post to my blog lately. My mom had major neck surgery and I was taking care of her. Last week I accompanied my husband on a business trip to Lynchburg, Virginia on Monday, came home to NC on Tuesday night, went to SC on Wednesday morning, and back to NC on Thursday evening. Whew! Anyway I haven't had a lot of time to make any cards, blog hop, or much of anything. Don't get me wrong, I am thankful for my husband's job, just explaining where I have been.
This card uses one of Stampin' Up!'s 2009/10 In Colors. I love Bermuda Bay and I think it works wonderfully with Basic Grey.
This is an easy card. Just ran the Whisper White through the Big Shot and glued it to the Basic Gray piece. I stamped three of the Circus Circles stamps with Bermuda Bay on
Whisper White. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the circle. Using Stampin' Up! circle punches, I layered the stamped pieces on top of a circle of Bermuda Bay. I used the Scallop Oval Punch to punch a piece of Basic Gray. The oval punches are wonderful to frame sentiments. I used the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set for the sentiment stamping in Bermuda Bay. The ribbon is Organza White from Stampin' Up! I don't normally think of gray as a birthday color, but I thought it made a good neutral for Bermuda Bay. Hope you have a great day and a better tomorrow! Go and create something if you have the time.

Stampin' Up! Big Shot Hero

Oh my goodness, you have to see this. Stampin' Up! has a contest every year for demonstrators to film a commercial. This one is so funny. I love to use the Big Shot. Have a good laugh at this commercial made by Linda Heller. If you are interested in learning more about the Big Shot and are near Kings Mountain, NC, drop me a line at howe1472@bellsouth.net. I would love to show you and your friends the wonderful things you can do with this great die machine! I have been traveling every day this week, but hope to sit down this afternoon and make some cards to share with you. We traveled to Virginia Monday, back to North Carolina Tuesday night, South Carolina today, and back to North Carolina tomorrow. Whew! Lots of miles on the road and the Lord has blessed us with safety and the job that made those trips possible. Have a great day stamping, creating, or whatever the day brings!

Stampin' Up! Sense of Time Stamp Set

I love this style of stamp art. Stampin' Up!'s Sense of Time has some great sentiments and images. I wish I would have had my brads when I made this card. I would have added one to the center where the hands are on the clock. Most of my stamping supplies are in South Carolina and I made this card in our home in North Carolina. I made this card for a Monday Mailers NC Demo Yahoo group I am in. We send a card out every Monday. Each month has a different theme and we can sign up if we want to. I have loved participating in this program.

Isn't it wonderful to receive a handcrafted card in your mailbox? If you are a stamper, you know the time involved in making them. Send a smile in the mail today. You never know if the person you are sending to is dealing with something stressful and your card might be uplifting to them. Plus you will be stimulating the economy especially since the Post Office is having difficulites as we are all right now.

Stampin' Up! Ink - Night of Navy, Close to Cocoa, Mellow Moss

Provo Craft Lunch Tin

Sorry I have been missing the past two weeks. My mom had major neck surgery and I have been staying with her. She is in pain and needs prayer. I think she is doing very well considering. My sweet hubby sent her and me flowers last week. He sent them to me because he misses me. He is in another state working and I didn't get to go with him the past two weeks. Well that is more than you probably wanted to know.

I had a lunch tin (for cards) class a few Saturdays ago. This is what I made for me. I have one already but needed another one. I use an acrylic template from http://www.thecardladies.com/ for the top and snap and a tutorial on http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/. I love making these. They are fast and easy. I make dividers for the inside and use the stamp set Sincere Salutations. I used a retired Designer Paper. I need to use some of the paper I am hoarding. Hope you have a wonderful day of creating!
