Tarheel Stamper - Fun at the Beach Scrapbook Page

Made both of these pages on My Digital Studio!  Love that program.   This is our last day at the beach.  Tomorrow we will drive home.  I miss my family, dogs, and home, but this was a fun and relaxing time with my sweetheart!

Have a wonderful day,

Tarheel Stamper - Ornaments Scrapbook Page

Ornaments Scrapbook Page

My hubby and I are on a little getaway to the beach.  We have been blessed with nice weather.  Supposed to be 72 today!  Yahoo!  Sadly our vacation ends today, tomorrow it is back home.
I made this scrapbook page on My Digital Studio yesterday while we were chilling.  I used the Christmas Jingle Designer Album kit, but added the Christmas tree in Whisper White from the Christmas Lodge brush (stamp) set.

Two more scrapbook layouts made with My Digital Studio.  I made these on the ride back home.  I have not been posting because I have been in a flare up for over 7 weeks now.  I was hospitalized last weekend.  I had some chest pains and needed to be checked out.  Thankfully the tests came back normal and it is official....I have a heart.   LOL  And it is beating normally.  LOL  Anyway I am battling this flare up and have been unable to even accomplish everyday tasks.  I hope to be back soon with some projects using new catalog products.
Have a great day!

Tarheel Stamper - Vacation Pages

It has been a while since I posted.   We were on vacation for two weeks and I have been in a flare up for 3 or 4 weeks now.  Our vacation was spent in Florida at my sister's house.  We are blessed to have family there to spend time with.   I have several pages I made with My Digital Studio of some exciting things we saw there and will be sharing them.

I am a big space program fan.  I have followed our space program for a long time.  I have been blessed to see 4 shuttle launches and witness one time when the shuttle entered  the atmosphere above Texas during the night.  What a pretty sight that was.  All that to say we saw the final launch of the space shuttle Atlantis.  It was bittersweet in that it is time to retire them (actually past time), but I love seeing them launch and got goosebumps every time I saw a lift off in person or on TV.  My brother-in-law works on the base (not with NASA) so he got to take some photos with the Space Shuttle in the background on the launch pad for the final time. How cool is that!  He also got us some memorabilia from STS 135.

We walked to the end of the street and watched.  Cloud cover shortened the time we were able to see the shuttle.  I still enjoyed it and am glad I was able to see it.  Over one million people were there to see the space shuttle lift off.  On Sunday morning we went to the beach.  We had rain just about everyday we were there.  The only day it did not rain was our last day there.  LOL  That was ok.  We were able to rest a lot and enjoy family.  We saw a unique sight on Sunday when NASA brought in one of the shuttle booster rockets in to the port.  There is a pier at Jetty Park so we walked to that and watched it come in.

Now here are two pages I did of the launch. I used Extreme Elements stamp brush set, Tag punch and star punch.

So easy to pull out the laptop and run My Digital Studio on long rides in the truck and work on pages.
Hope you enjoy and have a great day.

Tarheel Stamper - Thanksgiving Scrapbook Page

Wow it has been a while since I posted.  I tend to get busy with everyday life and push some things to the side.  I made this page last week from a scrapbook page kit we received at the Columbia Stampin' Up!  regionals I attended in October.  I added some swirly Sizzix decorative strip pieces along the side and also on top of the ribbon.  I think it turned out cute.  I will have to add some pages.  I used a Maple Leaf Sizzix die to cut out Cajun Craze and More Mustard card stock.  I had each of our Thanksgiving guests write what they were thankful for on a leaf.  I will include these on a scrapbook page I  made soon.  I thought it would be interesting to see what we wrote a year from then.

Hope you have a great day!

Tarheel Stamper - Sock Monkey Pumpkins Scrapbook Page

Here is what I did with the other pumpkins from yesterday's post.  I made a 12 x 12 scrapbook page with the rest.  Colors used: Cajun Craze, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, More Mustard, Soft Suede.  I used the Swirly Sizzlits Decorative Strip die in Old Olive.  The photo mats will fit 4 x 6 inch photos.  The 2nd page uses Tasteful Trim and Square Lattice Embossing folder.  The pumpkins are popped up on dimensionals. I have included two versions.  Which do you like better...The one with more "white space" or the one with journaling and decorative boxes?

Have a great day!

VC ROCKS!

I have joined a Yahoo Group for three years now called VC ROCKS!  It is a lot of fun with swaps, challenges, and a virtual hotel.  They are doing something new this year handing out badges for completing certain requirements.  This will be digital, but we can print them or use them how we wish.  Our challenge for today was to make a 12 x 12 scrapbook page for the badges.  I decided to use retired Stampin' Up! DSP and soon to be retired color Close to Cocoa.  Sizzix Daisies #2 die was used to make the large flower.  The small flowers were punched with the Boho Blossoms punch. I used the retired Bold Alphabet for the title. Have a wonderful Stampin' Day!

Stampin' Up! Butterflies Sizzix Bigz Die Scrapbook Pages

Here is a another 12" x 12" scrapbook page I made for a Ronald McDonald house project.  I love the Butterflies Sizzix die.  You have several sizes from which to choose.  I layered the smallest butterfly over the medium sized one.  I embossed the small butterfiles with the Perfect Dots Embossing folder available in the Occasion Mini.
The strip at the bottom of the Close to Cocoa 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock is a 1" strip of Regal Rose punched with the Pinking Hearts border punch also available in the Occasions mini.  The small hearts on the strip is the smallest heart on the Heart to Heart punch.  I used the Warm Words stamp set in Rose Red on Regal Rose card stock punching with the Large Oval punch.  That is layered with the Scallop Oval punch in Close to Cocoa.  Hope you enjoy!  Happy Stampin'!

Stampin' Up! Punch Art Scrapbook Page Turtle and Frog

I needed to make some quick scrapbook pages for a Ronald McDonald house project so I thought about punch art.  I will share a girls page tomorrow.  I searched and found some cute animals on Splitcoast Stampers.  I do not know who came up with the original ideas for these, but if it was you please email me and let me know and I will give credit to you.

The turtles were made with:

1 - 1 3/4" circle Always Artichoke
1 - 1 3/8" circle Old Olive
1 - 3/4" circle Always Artichoke
4 - 1/2" circles Always Artichoke
7 - 1/4" circles Barely Banana
2 - 1/4" circles Whisper White
2 - 1/8" circles Basic Black

for tail - punch one 3/4" circle from Always Artichoke and then cut a 1/2" circle in the shape of a semi circle (smile I call it)  Cut that in half and attach for tail.  I forgot to put that piece in the photograph below. You can see a similar piece in the frog pieces photograph.  I sponged Always Artichoke on the green pieces except for the tail.

For the Frog you will need:

1 - 1 3/4" circle Always Artichoke
1 - 1 3/8" circle Old Olive
2 - 3/4" circles Always Artichoke
2 - 1/2" circles Whisper White
2 - 1/4" circles Basic Black
2 - small flowers from Boho Blossoms punch Always Artichoke
2 - small ovals Always Artichoke
1 - large oval Always Artichoke
For smile - cut 3/4" Basic Black and then cut 1/2" circle form that in a smile shape.  Sponge green pieces with Always Artichoke.
For eyes the Always Artichoke circles are glued behind the oval and the white and black in front of the oval.

The scrapbook page is Barely Banana 12" x 12" with an 8 1/2" x 11" Old Olive card stock piece layered on top.  The letters are a sizzix alphabet die.

Stampin' Up! Zoofari Scrapbook Page

May is National Scrapbooking Month so to celebrate here is a page I adapted from one shown on Stampin' Up!'s website. Their page was a 6 x 6 size. I adpapted the page for a stamp camp to a 12 x 12. In the photo of the 12 x 12 page it doesn't appear to be 12 x 12, but it is. I used the Texturz plates and embossed dots on the circles. I embossed dots with the Big Shot on a piece of cardstock and then punched various circles out of that. The paper piercing template was used to make the row of dots on the strip. One thing I am going to change about this page is the sentiment on the strip. It reads Wild About You. I stamped it like the SU sample with Bashful Blue. I am going to use my Stamp-a-ma-jig and stamp it wth Chocolate Chip Craft Ink. It will show up better. Also my campers chose which alternate color to use either Bashful Blue or Pretty in Pink.
I love this stamp set from Stampin' Up! Wild About You is great for cards and scrapbooking.
Stampin' Up! also has cooridnating Decor Elements which you can apply to your walls and other hard surfaces.
