Tarheel Stamper - Not So Seriously
Wow! I cannot believe how long it has been since I last posted. Life became very busy with a move and some other events. LOL So glad to be back. I hope to stamp more often, but right now I do not have a dedicated stamping space. My supplies are scattered around the house wherever they will fit.
Two of my sons birthdays were last week so I needed cards. I used the new Houndstooth Impressions Embossing Folder and the Stripes one. I love those. They make such a deep impression and add texture to your cards. The colors are In Colors for this year. I used Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade. Very pretty colors. The stamp set is Not So Seriously. We love dogs and have 2 large ones, and I am puppy sitting this week for my son and his wife. Whew....puppies are a lot of work. lol Sure is sweet though. Hope you have a great day!

Tarheel Stamper - Grease Your Gears Birthday Card
This is a card I made for my husband's boss. I wanted a simple card without frilly things. I love that it was easy to punch out and emboss with the Big Shot. I also used the crimper for the small Soft Suede strip.
Using different textures are great for masculine cards.
Colors are Soft Suede, Green Garden, Whisper White, Not Quite Navy, and Crumb Cake. I used the Color Coach to pick the colors.
Stamp Set is God's Blessings
Accessories are Modern Label punch, crimper, Square Lattice embossing folder, and the Cogs Extra Large Double punch.
Great for masculine cards.
Happy Stampin',

Tarheel Stamper - Owl Always Love You
Owl Always Love You is for my hubby's Valentine. I love the Owl punch and this is the first time I used it. A very simple card and I made another with a different orientation to send to my NC Demo Monday Mailer. I am very busy now making bridal shower invitations and things for the rehearsal dinner and wedding for our oldest son's upcoming wedding. Hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Tarheel Stamper Doggone
Ok I am a very bad aunt. LOL I didn't get my nephew's birthday card made and in the mail on time for his birthday which was on Thanksgiving day this year. Doggone it! I just seem to get distracted by so much and fail to do the important things.
Anyway I used D is for Dog stamp set. Card stock is Always Artichoke, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive and Very Vanilla. I used My Digital Studio to create the verse and sentiment in Chocolate Chip. I love that program. It is useful in so many different ways. I used the Large Oval punch for the sentiment. The Square Lattice embossing folder is great for masculine cards. The wood texture pieces are from Sizzix's Texture Plate Kit #4 Stampin' Up! sells. I embossed a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Chocolate Chip so I would have enough for the house, roof, and the oval behind the sentiment. I cut a 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch piece of Chocolate Chip for the dog house and punched the door with the large oval punch. I added a scrap of Basic Black behind the opening. You could pop up the house over the black, but I chose to just layer the black on the back of the house. I did pop up the roof with dimensionals. I stamped the dog from D is for Dog on Very Vanilla and cut out leaving a small border. The sentiment is popped up with dimensionals also.
The inside greeting was printed on a piece of Very Vanilla with My Digital Studio. I trimmed it down to 3 x 5 inch piece. I stamped the bones in Not Quite Navy. Masculine cards seem to be harder to make. I think my nephew will like this even though he is an adult. We all need fun in our lives right?
Hope you have a wonderful day!

Tarheel Stamper - Lovely as a Tree Masculine Birthday
Made this one for my brother's upcoming birthday. Since it is in the fall, I thought Early Espresso, Soft Suede, More Mustard, and Cajun Craze were great for this card. I inked the trees with Versamark and then with Early Espresso to heat emboss with clear embossing powder. You can see the shine from the embossing on the close up. The tag is a the Jewelry Tag punch and tied on with Linen Thread. Love the color combination! Makes me think of fall. Don't forget that you can click on the photo to bring it up in a larger view.
Have a wonderful day,

Today my share is a card for our oldest son. We love him so much and are so thankful he lives nearby so we can see him when we are in town. He loves our dogs and misses them. He doesn't own one now.
Supplies:
Stamps - D is for Dog
Card stock - Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede

Tarheel Stamper - Stampin' Up!
I finally received my Square Lattice Embossing Folder from backorder. I love this one as I do all of them. LOL Colors are Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand, and Always Artichoke. The leaves are from the bird punch. I used a Jumbo Wheel name Cornelli Lace for the strip under the sentiment. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The inside greeting is from Party Hearty. This was my last Monday Mailer to my partner in June.
Love the new catalog! Hope you have had time to view it or have a copy in your hand. You can see it online by downloading the pdf file here on my business website.

Another Shirt and Tie Card
Quick post as I have to get to work on wedding invitations. I have many things to finish. I will not be able to post much this week, but I am participating in another VC Rocks blog hop this weekend. I cased this idea from Me, My Stamps, and I blog. I am just about out of the Bermuda Bay cardstock and it is retiring so I won't be using it much soon. LOL
Have a great stampin' day!

Thanks for Bob Cards
I made some of these cards for my son, Bob, to give to family and friends for graduation gifts he received. I used retiring colors and retired stamp sets on this one because I was at my home in NC and the newer products are in SC. I love the Weathered background stamp. It is great for masculine cards. The Thanks stamp is from Make it Count and the star is from Artifacts. Ink is Brocade Blue and a Tim Holtz distressing ink called Walnut Stain. Card stock is Brocade Blue and Naturals Ivory. Star is popped up on a Stampin' Dimensional. This is a simple and fast card to make.

Happy Father's Day Card
2010 Father's Day card. I used Bermuda Bay card stock and Thoroughly Modern designer series paper. I ran the card through the Big Shot with a Texturz plate. See the video tutorial I used for how to make this tie and card here. I have no idea who to credit for creating this type of card. I wish I knew, but I have seen them lots of places on the web. Excuse the crooked knot. I had to make this one in a hurry so my sweet husband and father of my three sons would not see it. LOL
Used a 1/4 inch hole punch and Whisper White card stock for the buttons. I pierced holes to mimic a button. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. That stamp set is fantastic! Happy Father's Day to all the daddies out there in cyberland!
Have a wonderful day!

Up Up and Away!
Made this card for my Monday Mailer partner on a Yahoo NC Demos group. Great group of demonstrators. Sneak peak of some new colors and a new stamp set. The sentiment is from a stamp set available in the upcoming catalog. It is called Perfect Punches. There are six stamps in this set made to fit a variety of our punches. The basket for the hot air balloon is from the Sweet Centers stamp set. I used the Wide Oval punch with Riding Hood Red, Wild Wasabi, Not Quite Navy, and Daffodil Delight to make the balloon part. I used Stampin' Dimensionals only on the middle of the balloon and taped down the outside edges so it would be shaped a little. See photo below to see the 3D effect. Made the cloud with our Scallop Circle punch. Just punch a scallop circle from card stock. Sponge around that several times for clouds. I used Not Quite Navy to sponge with and on the sentiment.
I punched more Wide Ovals and used them as balloons on the inside shown below. I drew the strings with Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. The verse inside is from Curvy Verses stamped in Not Quite Navy. Used the Signo white gel pen for the highlights. Now up, up, and away from this computer desk......lol.

Masculine Birthday TSCC125
I used a sketch from Techno Stamper's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 125. Play along with these challenges. They are a lot of fun and challenge you and sometimes even get you out of the stampin' doldrums.
This one uses Sense of Time and Teeny Tiny stamp sets. The punches are Word Window, Modern Label, and the new upcoming Cog Punch. I just love those cogs. So perfect for masculine scrap pages and cards. This punch will be available for purchase on July 1st. Colors are Tangerine Tango, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla. Tangerine Tango and Baja Breeze are former In Colors that will be in the new color collections starting July 1st. I used a Sizzix Texturz plate on the Chocolate Chip piece.
I can't wait to go home to NC tomorrow. I should have my copy of the new catalog. Plus it is my birthday and I can start my wish list. LOL My hubby better guard his wallet and the checking account. LOL

Party Hearty Masucline Birthday Card
I found a card on Stampin' Connection by Michelle Blackburn and was inspired to make this one. I love Bermuda Bay card stock and Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper together. Sahara Sand and Close to Cocoa also go well with this and I used those along with Whisper White on this card.
I used a star brad from the Stylized Silver Hodgepodge kit. The punches I used are My Way, large and small Star punches. I used the My Way punch on the end of the Close to Cocoa strip to add another detail. I love how it turned out. Hope my brother-in-law likes it as well! Have a wonderful day!

Stampin' Up! Always Masculine Valentine's Card

I love this color combo. I used the In Color Bermuda Bay with Chocolate Chip card stock. The designer paper is Bermuda Bay Patterns. The inks are Bermuda Bay and Close to Cocoa. Accessories are linen thread, Button Latte, 1 1/4" Chocolate Chip striped ribbon, and Cutter Kit. I used the cutter kit to distress the edges of the card stock. The buttons are threaded with the linen thread. I also tied the left side of the ribbon with linen thread. So what do you think? I am giving this one to my special guy, my sweet hubby.

Stampin' Up! Love Bandit Card

You should be able to click on the image to enlarge it in another window. Not you normal Valentine color combo. I used Old Olive, Melon Mambo, and Bermuda Bay card stock. I used the Pinking Hearts border punch along the bottom. The heart in the center is cut with our movers and shakers die. Come to the class on January 23 and use this product hands on. Not only does this die cut the center out, but also cuts the card stock to card size and scores it! How cool is that? The Melon Mambo heart is die cut and placed on top of the movers and shakers die and run through the Big Shot again.
The Raccoon was stamped in Basic Black Craft Ink and heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder. I then used bleach in the heart the raccoon is holding. That is how I "colored" the heart. I felt the card needed something else on the front. I ran a scrap piece of Bermuda Bay through the Big Shot with the Perfect Dots embossing folder then punched out with the Heart to Heart punch.
I ran a piece of Melon Mambo through the Big Shot with our new Perfect Dots embossing folder. Then I punched one edge with our Scalloped Border punch. A strip of Bermuda Bay is layered on top of that and a wide Old Olive grosgrain ribbon is tied in a knot over that. I think this will make a great Masculine card for my hubby!

Stampin' Up! Branch Out Masculine Birthday Card

Branch Out is on the dormant list so you want see it in the 2009/10 Catalog. I love how quickly you can create cards with this set. I needed a birthday card for my nephew. I chose Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, and Naturals White. The inks are Not Quite Navy, Close to Cocoa, and Old Olive. I used the Texturz Plates Kit #4 in the Big Shot. To get a deeper impression you can see the stack I used in this blog post here. I used Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment. Modern Label and Word Window punches were used. Have a great day!
