Tarheel Stamper - Two Tags Candy Pouch

This is such an easy project.  This is the 3D project I had for my class.  They are made with the Two Tags Bigz Die with the Big Shot from Sizzix. What I like about this tag is it has a slit for closing and a score line already made for you when you run the die through the Big Shot. They can be as elaborate or simple as you like.  I just a Texturz plate to add the large dots.  I put an extra score on mine so it will be a little wider to put a mini candy bar in.  See photos below for detail. Just glue dot it to the tags.  I am trying to lose weight and can't have milk anyway, so I didn't want to buy any for props.  You will just have to imagine them being in there.  LOL :-)

Have a wonderful day,

Tarheel Stamper - Pink Medalion Card

click on photo for larger view

I love the large background stamps and forget to use them.  They cover a lot of area quickly and can be the main image.  I stamped the Medalion with Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, and Pink Pirouette on Whisper White.  I cut the layers with the scallop circle and circle punches. Another one was stamped in Versamark ink on Pretty in Pink and heat embossed with White powder.  Add a pearl and bow and you have a soft, pretty card!  You can add a sentiment on the inside for whatever occasion you have!

Hope you have a wonderul day!

Tarheel Stamper - Love in Red

click on photo for larger size
This was a fun card to make. This is another card for my class on Saturday.  I have a tip on getting the circle cut out of the "O".  I punched a 3/4" circle from Pretty in Pink (just didn't want to use the Very Vanilla because it would not show up well).  I used a little mono adhesive and glued it over where I wanted to punch.  Then I centered the circle punch over the Pretty in Pink and punched.  It works wonderfully!  Another hint I have is I keep the square or rectangle rubber piece the stamps are die cut from when I am mounting them.  I used the reverse part to draw an outline lightly with pencil and then cut just inside that to cut out the "LOVE"  I am loving that red glitter paper!  Thanks Stampin' Up! for making it so easy to coordinate!  Hope you enjoy the card!

Tarheel Stamper - Amore Class Flyer

I love My Digital Studio. I made this flyer to send to my email list and thought I would share it here. So easy to make this and I think it turned out well!

Have a great weekend,

Tarheel Stamper - Big Heart

click on photo for larger view

Well I should title this 3 Big Hearts!  I used the Movers and Shapers Heart die to cut out the mat behind the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit Die.   This is another card for my upcoming Amore stamp class on January 29th.  I will be showing how to make the inside border at the class! I am loving the seam binding ribbon.  It is so easy to work with.

If you are in the Kings Mountain, NC area and want to attend the class, please contact me.  Click on the About Me link on the right sidebar.  Hope you have a wonderful day!

Tarheel Stamper - Lots of Love Letterpress

click on photo for larger view

Notice the pearlized look on the hearts!

I was intrigued by the introduction of the letterpress plates Stampin' Up! offered in the Holiday Mini catalog.  I purchased the Lots of Love letterpress plate and am using it for my Amore stamp class on January 29th.  Stampin' Up! has produced a video about the letterpress plates.

I won't give too many details since I am using this for a class, but you can see what I used.  The satin ribbon roses are available in the Occasions Mini catalog.

Happy Stampin' and I hope you are staying warm.  Very cold here!  Actually I am in Virginia today!  They didn't get as much snow as we did in SC  Below is a photo of the snow in SC.

The Freezing South

ROFL  I had uploaded some YouTube video of the snow here in South Carolina.  A producer from Nightline contacted me and asked if they could use some of it.  Around 1:12 is my husband measuring the snow and then I am heard saying, "I do believe it is a no school no work day....wow!"  LOL  I sound like such a hick.  I just thought I would share this with you.  I didn't think they would use any of it.

Have a great day!  And have a good laugh at my silliness.

Tarheel Stamper - Sympathy Card

I wish that I didn't have to make these type of cards, but that is the way of life.  My husband's former boss' mother passed away last weekend and I wanted to send my condolences.

I used Thoughts and Prayers stamp set (Item#  113252 Price: $25.95) Card stock is Old Olive, Soft Suede, Early Espresso, and Very Vanilla.  I used a retired wheel to make the dots on the bottom of the card, but you can substitute another current stamp or wheel.  I scored lines 1/4" apart on the top to add texture.

Tip:  To color the tree easily, I inked up the whole image with Old Olive Classic Ink and then used the Soft Suede  marker to color the trunk and branches.

Tarheel Stamper - Amore!

Amore!  We all need to feel it!  Hope you have lots of love in the New Year!
This card will be one we are making in my January "Amore" stamp class.
I used Cherry Cobbler, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla card stock and the stamp set Artistic Etchings.

I stamped the medallion repeatedly on the background to create my own designer paper.  I used the stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement.

Hope to be able to post more often.  I was home for a few weeks during the Christmas season and very busy and happy to be home!  We travel weekly for my husband's job and I am so thankful for that.  I just miss being at our main home with family.  We had a wonderful Christmas and hope you did also!
