Stampin' Up Berry Christmas Snowflake Card

This is for a LNS Yahoo group challenge #43. We were to take our favorite candy and use the colors on the packaging and translate them to a card. I wasn't as happy with this card as the other one I did for TechnoStamper's sketch challenge, but I am posting it anyway. Maybe it can inspire you to use this color combo or the sketch.

I used the Berry Christmas stamp set from Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini. Card stock is Ballet Blue, Rich Regal, Green Galore, and Whisper White. Inks are Ballet Blue, Rich Regal, and Green Galore. Ribbon is White Grosgrain.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Stampin' Up Berry Christmas Poinsettia Card

Berry Christmas is available in Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini Catalog. There are so many great sets in that Mini. You can view the Holiday Mini by clicking on the icon in my right side bar. Just scroll down and click on the link. This card is for a sketch challenge on Mary Jo Price-William's Technostamper blog. I turned the sketch on the side.

I used the Stampin' Up! Perfect Details Texturz Plate on the Rich Regal piece. The white dots on it are from the White Gel Pen Stampin' Up! sells. I also used that pen on the fake stitching above the Merry Christmas sentiment. The sentiment is heat embossed with White Detail embossing powder. I tired to add Crystal Effects on the dots in the center, but it ran together and I stamped another one. I thought Diamond Dust would look good on them, but had already put the card together and didn't want to get it on the other pieces.

Ribbon is from Elemental Ribbon Originals. Stamp set is Berry Christmas. Card stock is Rich Regal, Rose Red, So Saffron, and Whisper White. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Stampin' Up Delightful Decorations

This set is so much fun. I think this will be my Christmas card this year. Stampin' Up! has an Ornament punch to make it easy to use the Delightful Decorations stamp set. I got the idea for this card from Martha Lucia Gomez. You can see her beautiful card here. She is also in a blog tour named Inkspired 09. You can hop on the tour on the right side bar logo. I have included the one I cased from her card below the close up. I found out that Lisa Freeman had made the original card I cased below a month ago to swap at Founder's Circle so I wanted to give her credit for her design. Here is a link to her design that inspired the above card. I love the bow she has on hers.

I wanted to show you the beautiful shimmer on the first card. I took an old Stampin' Mist bottle and rinsed it out. Then I added alcohol and a small amount of the Stampin' Up! Frost White Shimmer Paint. You need a fine mist bottle to make this work. It is so beautiful in real life. I wish you could see it. The shimmer is hard to photograph.

Supplies used:

Delightful Decorations and Holiday and Wishes (retired), Ornament Punch, Elegant Bouquet and Finial Press Impressions Embossing Folders. Old Olive marker, Real Red and Old Olive Classic Ink Pads, Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White, Very Vanilla, and Brushed Silver card stock, Mistletoe Ribbon Originals, Fine Cosmo glitter.

Christmas Watering Can

I just love this watering can pattern and tutorial by Helen Orr for Splitcoast Stampers here. It is so cute and I can't wait to give some away for Christmas. I probably will fill it with candy or maybe a couple of drawer sachets topped with a few flowers. I have a photo of it unfilled at the end of this post. I used Baroque Motifs stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Silver embossing powder on Stampin' Up! Brushed Silver card stock. I thought it turned out very nicely. What do you think? You can click on the photo for a larger view.

Because my printer wouldn't let the Brushed Silver card stock run through it, I printed on regular copy paper. Then I used the mono adhesive to temporarily adhere it to the Brushed Silver.

I cut the pieces out leaving the pattern on top and then scored over the lines where indicated. I thought this would be a little harder, but it isn't and it makes such a cute box!

Stampin' Up Tree Trimmings Christmas Card

Tree Trimmings is such a pretty set. I love Christmas and Christmas trees and everything Christmas! This is a simple card with stamped background paper. You can make cards like this so quickly. I cannot remember who to thank for the inspiration for this card, but if it is you please let me know. This is one of the cards we will be making in my Christmas Card Stamp Camp this weekend. I used Old Olive, Ruby Red, and Chocolate Chip inks and card stock. Love that combo!

Stampin' Up! Autumn Days Christmas Card

This is one of the cards we will be making at my upcoming Christmas Card class. It is a little more involved than the other three, but I loved how it turned out. I am a big fan of nature type stamps and love trees so this image was perfect for me.
I used Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, and Old Olive markers to color the image. The Stampin' Up! Finial Press Impressions Embossing Folder adds so much texture to the card.
The card base is Kraft, and the layers are Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, and Old Olive.
The ribbon is the wide Old Olive grosgrain. I used the Word Window and Modern Label punches. Sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Stampin' Up Christmas Card Class

I am having a Christmas Card Stamp Camp Saturday October 24th. If you are in the area and want to attend, give me a holler! LOL Love that Southern lingo. We are making the four cards shown in the photo below. Most are quick and simple and inspired or cased from others. Jan Tink (Janine Tinklenberg) and Angie Kennedy Juda. The pine cones card is my original idea. I loved how the coloring with markers turned out. Thanks to all the talented stampers out there for sharing your talent.

I haven't been posting regularly for a while and will try to get back into that. I will share close ups of the cards as the week progresses.

Happy Stampin' and have a great day!

12 x 12 Stampin' Up! Halloween Scrapbook Page

Did this Halloween scrapbook page as a challenge on an Yahoo group I am on. I love how the punched pumpkins turned out. The swirly design on the side was cute too I thought. So what do you think? I used the Sweet Centers stamp set. I heat embossed using Pumpkin Pie craft ink and clear embossing powder. I used the Photo Corners punch with Old Olive card stock to add some detail on the corners. The brads are our White jumbo brads which I colored with a Black marker. The scrapbook page is 12" x 12" piece of Close to Cocoa.
The pumpkins are made with the Wide Oval, Large Oval, and Small Oval punches and also the Swirly Sizzix Decorative Strip die. I punched 8 Wide Oval pieces from Pumpkin Pie card stock. I sponged around the edges of the ovals. I started gluing the ovals from the center out on the front. I clipped a small portion of a Swirly die piece of Old Olive card stock for the stalk. Gluing the stalk first, then I glued the remaining ovals on the back of the pumpkin. So easy and so cute. I made the other pumpkins the same way with the other two punches.
Have a great stampin' day!

Christmas Test Tube Holder

I love this project. I found the pattern on Lisa Sommerville's blog. I used the new Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Series Paper found in the new Holiday Mini. This is a fun and easy project. My test tubes are 3/4" in diameter so I used a 3/4" circle punch. Also I use Stampin' Up!'s Sticky Strip on my boxes because it holds so well. On the first photo you can see how I punched the circles out and try to match them up and glue them the same way. One hint is to tie the ribbon on first and then glue the punched circle to the top. Much easier to line them up that way instead of trying to tie the ribbon in the front after the circle is glued down. I used a needle from the Crafter's Kit to thread the silver cord and thread it behind the knot after carefully punching through the snowflake. The snowflake is from the Hostess level 2 Stamp Set Christmas Punch. How smart for Stampin' Up! to make those snowflakes fit the Boho Blossoms punch. One of the perks of being a demo is the opportunity to purchase select Hostess sets before the catalog is released. I used the dots Impressionz plate from the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds I set. The snowflakes and sentiment were stamped in Real Red Craft Ink and embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. I punched the sentiment out with our scallop oval punch. Isn't it great how the stamps fit the punches? The ribbon is one of my favorites, the Whisper White organza ribbon. Have fun today and create something.
